Update 17 - 34 weeks old

Well another few weeks have past and many changes have occured...... Charlotte is now 8.2kg and is 66.8cm long....no wonder my back hurts. She is also a star fish and doesn't hang on when you carrier her which means that you have to work twice as hard to keep from dropping her. we are now so close to crawling. Charlotte has begun to rock forward onto her hands and knees and a couple of times has taken the weight but usually gets fed up and pushes her legs out to be back onto her belly. She can however pull herself up into the standing position so probably not long before she starts cruising around the furniture. I think she is now getting frustrated with sitting in one spot so I do hope she starts to move around soon....it will see her with a new found freedom.

We have reached another milestone.....Charlotte can now wave hello and goodbye. It is very cute and heart breaking if you actually do have to leave her.....and she waves. Mum has been in hospital for the last 4 weeks so we have spent a lot of time going back and forth....it is quite funny when she waves to the other patients, nurses, doctors and anyone in the lift that will pay her some attention. She is very popular and they don't mind if we happen to hang around a little longer then we should.

I have now started meeting one of the mothers from my Mothers Group each Friday for a swim - she minds Charlotte and her son Wil while I do laps for 25 minutes and visa versa. It was quite funny when I was minding Wil and Charlotte......Charlotte gets quite excited about having someone to play with and her excitments comes out though high pitched screams.....Wil didn't like it at all and cried everytime she did it. I spent the whole 25 mins nursing him so he wouldn't cry.

Its funny at mothers group now as most of the babies are on the move. We meet in the local plaza and put blankets down on the grass - you have to keep your eye on the bubs as they are off and disappear if you are not careful. I have included some photos of Charlotte with Roman on the grass from last week.....very cute.

Grandma Rae returned home from Germany last week and she brought back with her a gift from Madelyne.....a lovely new outfit....Thanks Rae in Germany...have included a photo of her in the new outfit.

Anyway enjoy this weeks photos.....
